Behavioural Description Interview (BDI) Course

The Canadian Criminal Justice Academy (CCJA) is proud to present the Behavioural Descriptive Interview (BDI) training workshop. This 16-hour highly interactive workshop plus two one-hour professional coaching sessions will prepare the Candidate for a highly successful interview. This course is designed and facilitated to provide the Candidate with the utmost in feedback, growth, and development. The training standard is reflective of the current requirements and expectations from the police, justice, and correctional officer interviews. As well, each Candidate will receive feedback on their resume and cover letter writing skills.  
 

The BDI Interviewing Workshop is intended as an introduction to and preparation for the Behavioural Descriptive Interview (BDI) process using the S.T.A.R. technique. This non-credit workshop uses a variety of teaching/learning methods, including facilitator presentation, discussion, practical exercises, and group activities, and emphasizes participation in an interactive class setting. There is no examination or quizzes for this workshop. However, Candidates are highly encouraged to take an active role during the practical exercises, which will focus on the BDI Interview and the expectations of the Recruiting Team.

 

Important note: There is a minimum required number of Candidates to run the course. If the college does not reach the minimum required number of 10, the total deposit/full payment will be refunded. You can also choose to hold a seat at our next course.
