- *BE ADVISED: We STRONGLY urge you to attend both the COPAT Intro Class, COPAT Test Prep, and Practice Test sessions PRIOR TO booking an official test. These are not training sessions, and you will not be given time to practice on the day of the test. - *NOTE: Correctional Facilities now accept BOTH the COPAT AND PARE examinations. - This is the “Correctional Officer Physical Abilities Test”. You can take this OFFICIAL fitness examination for entry into Correctional Services in Alberta and Nova Scotia. The COPAT is designed to simulate the physical tasks required for the job, ensuring that candidates have the minimal physical abilities in strength, agility, and endurance needed to perform their duties as a correctional officer.
